Fresh Coconut Chutney - South Indian Condiment Recipe by Ruchi Bharani - Vegetarian [HD] <br />INGREDIENTS- <br />1 cup fresh grated coconut <br />1/2 cup split bengal gram (dariya dal) <br />salt <br />1 small piece ginger <br />2 green chillies <br />curry leaves <br />1/4 tsp. asafoetida (heeng) <br />1 tsp. white lentil (urad dal) <br />1/2 tsp. mustard seed powder <br />1 tbsp. oil <br />coconut water <br /><br />METHOD- <br />- Grind split bengal gram, ginger and green chillies into a smooth powder. <br />- Add fresh grated coconut, salt and coconut water and grind well again. Add water if required. <br />- For tadka, heat oil in a small pan. Add mustard seeds, white lentil once the oil is hot. <br />- Once the white lentil turns brown, add asafoetida (heeng) and curry leaves. <br />- Pour this tadka over the chutney.
